We all know that one of the greatest (if not the greatest) inventions of the 20th century was the internet. Now in the 21st century everything is connected to the internet in one way or another. We use it for our businesses, our schools and in our homes. Our phone has the internet now, where with the touch of a button almost anywhere, were are connected to the world wide web.
Entertainment is probably what the internet is mostly used for. We entered a new era, back before internet it took a while for someone to be known as a celebrity, they had to star in movie and win awards and such. Now someone can upload a video on youtube and become a different kind of celebrity, the internet celebrity.
People become famous over night with a click of a button, comedians and bands are able to get their material out to people all across the world. This is a truly an amazing thing that is happening. Why? Well isn't it better to be "world famous" than "famous just in America"? I kind of laugh also because the more we advance in technology the more it is used for entertainment and not for the betterment of life. but hey, I'm human and i like to laugh.
