Man the News is Depressing

Has anybody else noticed how depressing the news is now? I remember since i was young how grim the news always is. There is nothing on their that isn't about violence or any taboo. It would be nice to see a broadcast one day thats a little more on the brighter side, no wonder their are people who don't leave their homes anymore, their scared shitless! Maybe I'm the only one thinking this and maybe I'm not. Either way it's just plain depressing.
