New Smoking Law(s)

Recently there has been a law passed in the state of Michigan that smoking will be prohibited in all public buildings. I think that this is reasonable to some extent. Smoking is horrible for your body, and to those who you smoke around. So I understand the reason this law was passed. But I also at the same time disagree with the law. A great example of a public building is a bar. People go to bars to drink, and a lot of people when they drink, smoke. I think that it should be up to the owners wether or not smoking should be allowed in their establishment. People choose wether or not they go to that bar, store, etc. so the owners should be able to choose their establishments smoking policy

Once again I understand that it is bad for you, but it's also someone's choice to smoke. I understand that secondhand smoke is bad also. So that I can understand about the laws. But I think that if they are going to tax cigarettes so much then they should just take them off the market instead of wasting tax payer dollars to settle the dispute. Oh and if they get rid of cigarettes then they should probably get rid of crewing tobacco and alcohol at the same time, they can harm others as well as one self.
